DIY: Galentine’s Day Pink Hot Chocolate.

Happy Galentine’s Day!

First, a little background. If you’re not familiar with the TV show, Parks and Rec, you may not know what Galentine’s Day is. Amy Poehler’s character Leslie Knope says it best when she explains,

“Oh it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

Basically Galentine’s Day is a day to celebrate and show love for your lady friends. This year, since I’m 35 weeks pregnant, I won’t be doing any in-person celebrating. I thought about cheap ways to spread cheer while still able to send through the postal system. I came up with hot chocolate mix! February is still cold and hot chocolate is still enjoyable.

Let’s Make Pink Hot Chocolate mix!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 Cup Strawberry Nesquik
  • 1 Cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 Cup Instant Milk
  • 1/2 package of Jell-O White Chocolate instant pudding mix

  • Blend up white chocolate chips into a fairly fine powder. (I froze mine and then used a blender)
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk all ingredients together.
  • Once blended, add 3 TSP mix per 1 Cup hot water or milk.
  • Stir and enjoy!

Since mine are going through the mail, I distributed the mix into sandwich bags, sealed tightly, and dropped them into padded envelopes.

I hope you enjoy your Galentine’s Day! Let the lady friends in your life know that they are appreciated!

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoy this hot chocolate mix! I’ll see you next time!
